Account & data deletion

We understand that circumstances change. When you are ready to close your Iki account or clear specific data, this is your step-by-step guide. Everything here honours the Kenyan Data Protection Act and our promise of transparent care.

How to delete your account

These three steps keep the process secure while letting you know exactly what to expect.

Email your request

Send us a note at support@ikiwellness.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. Include the email or phone tied to your Iki account so we can locate it quickly.

We verify you

For security, our team may request a quick confirmation (for example, replying from the registered email). This ensures no one else can remove your account.

Processing window

Once confirmed, deletions are scheduled immediately and completed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once everything is wiped.

Need to fast-track?

Add “Urgent” to your subject line and include a phone number. We will prioritise the request and confirm once complete.

Data removed

  • Profile details like your name, email, and phone number.
  • Wellness check-ins, program history, and biometric insights you shared.
  • Uploaded media such as photos, audio notes, or journal attachments.
  • Location information, session logs, and device identifiers tied to your account.

Data we temporarily keep

  • Minimal transaction records (amount, dates) for tax compliance up to 7 years.
  • Fraud-prevention logs as required by Kenyan law and partner regulations.
  • Aggregated or anonymised insights that no longer identify you personally.

All retained data is securely isolated, access-controlled, and deleted once the legal retention window closes.

Want to keep your account but clear specific data?

You can request selective deletion without losing your Iki access. Here’s how it works.

Tailored deletion

Prefer to stay on Iki but remove specific data (for example, step counts or location history)? Email us with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and outline what to remove.

Functional impact

Deleting certain data may limit experiences such as personalised insights or habit streaks. We will confirm the impact before we proceed so you can decide.

Response time

Expect the same 2–3 hour response during business days and completion within 30 days. You will receive written confirmation when it’s done.
